No Churn Lavender Ice Cream is a simple and delicious way to make use of the lavender that grows a bit wild on the side of our house. There are only a few ingredients and a few steps, no ice cream maker needed.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup fresh lavender flowers
2 cups whipping cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Purple food colouring
1 cup Chocolate chips
Steps:
- Place lavender flower in a glass jar and cover with two cups of whipping cream, refrigerate overnight
- Mix together sweetened condensed milk and food colouring to achieve a colour darker than the desired final shade
- Strain whipping cream so that no flowers remain. Whip until stiff peaks form
- Gently fold cream into milk in 3-4 additions
- Place mixture into containers and freeze 4-6 hours before serving, top with chocolate chips
